Fascia & Your Expanded Self

  • BHAV 64 Cronulla Street Cronulla, NSW, 2230 Australia (map)

Details:

Sunday 4th December

1 - 4pm

$60

We are held together by an interconnected web of ‘fascia’. Fascia is a type of connective tissue that connects your organs, bones, muscles and even cells together.

Fascia has the ability to slide, glide and stretch, it also has the ability to adhere and cause restrictions in movement when not used appropriately, or in response to physical/ emotional contractions.

This workshop uses bodywork techniques, experiential exercises and movement practices to help unwind fascial restrictions and access your ‘expanded self’, a state of being in which you are able to fully utilize the support of the earth, optimally align with gravity and completely inhabit the inner space of yourself.

These exercises will facilitate feelings of self-confidence and capability, change how others perceive you, and reduce physical strain on the tissues of your body.

Your ‘expanded self’ is a state of being that is possible when the structures of your body are optimally aligned with gravity and lengthening into space. This enhances the natural ‘bio-tensegrity’ of your tissues, and will create psychological shifts in both your perception of yourself, others and the world around you.

These shifts occur because your body and mind are linked, and when we create changes in the physical structure/ positioning of the body, it has an effect on our psychology as well.

Join Dr. Ryan Henson (M.Chiro) for this 3 hour masterclass on fascia, movement and bodywork techniques that can release restrictions, increase ease in your body and facilitate access into your ‘expanded self’
