OUR YOGA STYLES
We empower students to practice a mix of classes, depending on what your body & mind needs.
TRADITIONAL HATHA
Hatha is a slower paced, spiritual class with less poses and longer holds.
Using asana as the foundation, Hatha classes may incorporate deeper Tantric techniques, such as Pranayama, Bandha, Mudra, Mantra and Meditation. No music in class.
Hatha is our signature style at Bhav, and we really believe it’s life changing.
VINYASA KRAMA
A flow style of class that links a series of poses together, connecting breath with movement.
This practice is open to everyone as there will be modifications and challenges alike. A general level of fitness can be helpful, you may work up a sweat.
Often includes background music in sections or throughout the class.
YIN YOGA
Yin is a mindful floor based practice where postures are held for time.
It targets the connective tissues & the joints, so makes a perfect addition to weights training and more physical practices. May or may not include music throughout.
Suitable for everyone, particularly people who are ‘busy’ stressed & in need of balance.
ASANA STRENGTH
This class is designed to build physical strength and stability through focused yoga asana practice. Each session targets a specific area of the body—upper body, core, or lower body—helping you develop a balanced, strong foundation.
Expect sequences that challenge your muscles, improve endurance, and enhance body awareness. Whether it’s powering through arm balances, igniting your core, or grounding into strong legs, this class will leave you feeling empowered and resilient—on and off the mat.
Perfect for anyone looking to elevate their strength while staying true to the mindful essence of yoga.
ASANA ALIGNMENT
This class is all about mastering the art of alignment in yoga asana. With a focus on creating structure, safety, and stability, you’ll learn how to move with intention and precision, building a strong foundation for your asana practice.
Through detailed guidance and mindful adjustments, we’ll explore the mechanics of each posture, helping you refine your technique and deepen your understanding of the body. Perfect for all levels, this class will leave you feeling grounded, confident, and aligned—both physically and energetically.
YOGA NIDRA
Reboot and reset with the transformative practice of Yoga Nidra. Often called “yogic sleep,” this guided relaxation practice allows you to rest deeply while remaining conscious, restoring both body and mind.
Perfect for a lunchtime pause, Yoga Nidra helps release stress, improve focus, and cultivate a sense of inner calm, leaving you recharged and ready to take on the rest of your day. No prior experience is needed—just come as you are, and let the practice do the work.
PRANAYAMA & MEDITATION
This 45-minute seated practice invites you to journey inward through the transformative power of breath and meditation. We’ll begin with gentle, intentional movement to awaken energy and prepare the body for stillness.
From there, dive into pranayama techniques to centre the mind and balance your energy, followed by guided meditation to explore the deeper layers of your awareness. Perfect for those seeking clarity, calm, and a deeper connection to self, this class offers a moment to pause, reset, and realign with your inner world.
CHANTING
Join us for our special chanting sessions featuring the powerful Gayatri and Maha Mrityunjaya Mantras! Every new and full moon, we gather to chant these ancient Sanskrit Mantras, each with its unique benefits.
The Gayatri Mantra, known for its ability to remove blocks and limitations, is chanted during the New Moon to manifest new beginnings. It is a mantra of healing, purification, protection, and spiritual awakening.
The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, on the other hand, empowers us to overcome fear, doubt, and obstacles in our path. It activates our inner strength, healing capacity, intelligence, confidence, and willpower. Chanting this mantra fills us with courage, inspiring us to shine brightly and embody our fullest potential, even in today's challenging times.
