Kirtan

  • BHAV 64 Cronulla Street Cronulla, NSW, 2230 Australia (map)

What is mantra?
Man = mind, Tra = to protect and expand.

Mantra expands the mind whilst simultaneously protecting it.
Sound and vibration, as science now asserts, is the framework of manifest creation, the source of all life.

Mantras have the potential to heal, transform, inspire, protect and enlighten. It is not a thing, or an object, it is closer to a state of consciousness or a plane of existence.

The Sanskrit language, the language of mantra came into being from a felt sense, experienced from the inside. The words of the language, hold the vibration of what they represent.

Chanting has a physical, energetic and emotional effect on us, a powerful tool that is able to influence all dimensions of the human system.

Mantra is an agent for purification of the mind and helps us dissolve lingering emotional and energetic baggage that leads to stagnation.

The kirtan setting is about exploring one’s voice and the connection between the voice, divinity and our inner strength and resilience. All whilst being held in the safe container of community.

Adding to the community feel we ask you bring a plate of food to share afterwards for everyone to enjoy. This is a another way for you to be able to express yourself through the creation of a dish.
