SUBTLETY AND SENSITIVITY
At Bhav, yoga is more than movement—it’s a spiritual practice rooted in cultivating subtlety and self-awareness. The bhav, or inner attitude, we encourage is one of inquiry, refinement, and devotion. As we grow more subtle in body, breath, and mind, we begin to operate from a higher vibration—where clarity, presence, and insight arise naturally.
This journey toward subtlety follows the energetic pathway of the spine, where the chakras—our energy centers—reside. At the base lies Muladhara, the root chakra, dense and foundational. Above it, Svadhisthana and Manipura relate to our desires and personal power. These three lower chakras reflect the domain of survival, pleasure, and ego—the realm where much of humanity remains entangled.
Through the fire of Tantra Hatha Yoga, we activate Manipura, the navel chakra, often called the master switch. This internal heat purifies and liberates the density of the lower centers, allowing us to witness long-held patterns from a more expansive perspective. As this transformation unfolds, our sense of self shifts. We’re no longer ruled by old stories—we begin to live from a place of freedom and choice.
This liberation opens the door to the heart (Anahata) and the higher chakras: expression (Vishuddha), intuition (Ajna), and spiritual connection (Sahasrara). As these centers awaken, we experience greater spaciousness, stillness, and connection within. We touch the most refined aspects of our being—those that transcend thought, identity, or form.
In this subtle state, we no longer see ourselves as separate from the whole—we become the ocean, not just a drop within it. This is the heart of yoga at Bhav: not performance or perfection, but a return to what is most true, most still, most free.
By walking this path, we align with higher states of being—anchored not in reactivity, but in compassion, authenticity, and spiritual clarity.
