THE TANTRIC YAMAS & NIYAMAS: DHRTI

DHRTI (RESILIENCE)

As we move into the second week of exploring the Tantric Yamas and Niyamas, this week we speak to DHRTI (Resilience). After last week‘s practice of forgiveness, where we created a softness and opening for our self, this week becomes important to be able to understand and decipher the information that we receive.

We want to be able to discern the message or voice from our soul, as opposed to what our ego has to say. Being resilient without awareness may lead us towards holding onto or continually moving towards something that is not serving us anymore.

Just like the sun does not discern what it shines its light upon, as we learn to build energy and power (prana), we must be able to soften the ego a touch so we do not amplify or exacerbate the negative aspects of our self.

Resilience is an important power for us to evolve. As we come up against blockages and resistances, our Shakti needs to be stronger than the energy of the resistance. Otherwise we’ll never get what we deeply desire, or we will be eternally stuck in places we do not wish to be in.

In practice this week, we will explore how to cultivate the power of resilience to help us move through stuckness towards what it is that we truly desire. Hope to see you there.
