Expand and Receive

What an exciting time in the studio as we step into the Sun aspect of our practice in the Teacher Training! The first three weeks were all about the Moon, which is essentially code for the mind.

It’s essential that we learn to calm and stabilise the mind first before stepping into the Sun. The Sun represents Prana—life force energy. Just as the Sun shines indiscriminately on all things, Prana does the same, bringing to life whatever it touches and ideally we do not want to amplify our unconscious, negative tendencies.

Being human is such a gift—we are electrical beings, capable of charging ourselves up, much like any electrical device. But just as we can build energy, we can also leak it.

The more self-aware we become, the better we can manage our energy. So many factors influence this—our lifestyle, the people we surround ourselves with, and what we consume, both physically and mentally. The way we practice yoga has a profound impact on our energy levels. When we bring our focus to this, we move beyond just managing energy—we learn to master it.

Join us in the studio this week as we explore Vyana and Pran Vayu, our capacity to expand, receive, and move through the world with greater ease. Looking forward to seeing you on the mat!
